Trivium ‎– In Waves

With their Roadrunner Records debut album " Ascendency ", which even achieved gold status in the UK, Trivium hit the global metal scene like a bomb in 2005 and was named " Best New Artist International " by Kerrang magazine. Although the band members were still very young at the time, their songwriting and musical craft was already remarkably mature. They went on tour with the likes of Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Metallica, Heaven & Hell and many more many more.

Over the years, the band's skills developed further on the Albums " The Crusade " (2006) and " Shogun " (2008). According to vocalist / guitarist Matt Heafy, the new album is the pinnacle of their work to date: " In Waves to us... is Trivium. In Waves is the music, the artwork, the videos and the live show; they are all part of an interconnected whole. There's no question about it, in our eyes, that this is the most complete project we've ever done. We think we've finally made the record that we've always strived to make."

The songs still feature the guitar-heavy sound that fans love and expect; some tracks are even heavier and more aggressive than before. At the same time, Trivium have taken a huge step forward on " In Waves ", especially on a visual and lyrical level. The entire artwork (including videos, stage design and websites) is equally inspired by contemporary film, art and a love of heavy music hard music.

Heavy: " The album is not a concept record, but there is a certain theme to all of the visuals and sonically and visually it all ties together. We are very proud of what we've accomplished with In Waves and we are excited to share it with everyone ."
