Rainbow – The Temple Of The King: Rainbow 1975 – 1976

To mark the 50th anniversary of Rainbow's founding and the release of their debut album "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow", Demon Music proudly presents a comprehensive deluxe CD box set featuring recordings from 1975 and 1976.

In addition to the two groundbreaking studio albums, the box set includes a trilogy of live albums from Rainbow's first world tour, as well as concerts from Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Nuremberg, documenting the band's first performances in Europe. The final CD of this 9-CD box set contains numerous rare mixes, edits, and studio rehearsals, newly remastered by Andy Pearce and Matt Wortham.

By the time Rainbow finally arrived in Europe for their first live shows, the albums "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" and "Rainbow Rising" had already charted. The band played to sold-out venues with Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James, Cozy Powell, Jimmy Bain, and Tony Carey. As one of the pillars of British rock, Rainbow, led by the unpredictable but consistently astonishing guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, became synonymous with some of the most respected and beloved rock songs of the 1970s and 80s.

The expanded 9-CD deluxe box set of early Rainbow classics from 1975–1976 contains newly remastered albums as well as B-sides, live recordings, demos, and alternate versions. These were remastered by Andy Pearce and Matt Wortham. The expanded packaging includes a 24-page booklet with extensive liner notes, rare artist photos, and memorabilia.

The three concerts from the band's 1976 European tour are released with new liner notes by Rich Davenport about the band's influence after Ritchie Blackmore's departure from Deep Purple. The artwork includes rare cover art, photos, and memorabilia.

This is the first Rainbow box set from this period and the beginning of a major reissue campaign for the band with support from Ritchie Blackmore!
