I discovered Ina Forsman "by chance" during my musical research and am very impressed. In 2024, I saw her live for the first time – phenomenal. Her solo vinyl albums quickly found their way into my collection. Then I pre-ordered her current album, "After Dark Hour" (released in March 2025). An outstanding album with classic soul, jazz, funk, and blues influences. My collection was still missing her debut album with the Helge Tallqvist Band from 2013. The 2019 vinyl release reviewed here from Turenki Records (Finland) is of excellent sound quality. The tracks included, primarily blues cover versions, are by blues greats such as Slim Hatpo, Etta James, Sam Maghett, Rudy Toombs, Johnnie Otis, Fats Domino, and last but not least, Linda Perry (the Christina Aguilera track "I Got Trouble"). Conclusion: I absolutely recommend buying this album 👍🏼!
