The seventh studio album of 2004 is RESTA IN ASCOLTO. Includes the two hits: Resta in ascolto (live Italian/Spanish) and Vivimi (live Italian/Spanish). Released in Spain with the title Escucha, this album sold a total of over 5 million copies worldwide and marked a profound change in Laura Pausini's musical way who, for the first time, showed herself to be more "aggressive and rock" abandoning those romantic lyrics that had marked his beginnings.

The album makes use of the collaboration of authors like Biagio Antonacci, Vasco Rossi and even Madonna, who gave Laura the song Like a Flower (Mi abbandono a te), adapted into Italian by Pausini herself.
