Weezer – SZNZ: Autumn

"Sznz" is Weezer's four-part album episode, the title of which is, of course, pronounced "Seasons" - 4 seasons, 4 albums

Tomorrow is the official start of autumn - and Weezer fans know what that means: a new EP is coming, after all, the band has promised one EP per season for this year, the song cycle SZNZ. And they're true to their word: "SZNZ: Autumn" is available everywhere now, led by the single "What Happens After You." 

Last night, Weezer brought the song to Jimmy Kimmel's Late Night Show, where the band became the first act in the show's history to have a residency, returning throughout the year with music from their other EPs. Below is a look at the performance, where Weezer performed on a stage decorated in autumn - in keeping with the EP's title. 

Each of the four EPs represents a different era in the band's history. Speaking to The New York Times, frontman Rivers Cuomo said of the latest collection, "'Autumn' is dance rock, and that's something we traditionally can't get away with. It's really hard to combine dance and rock and Weezer. It can very easily turn into something that nobody likes."
