Supertramp were already extremely successful with their first five albums, but "Breakfast In America" exceeded all expectations. It sold millions of copies around the world, won two Grammys and contained three chart hits with "The Logical Song", "Take the Long Way Home" and "Goodbye Stranger". Supertramp deliver catchy, condensed and cleverly constructed pop hits, combined with the distinctive falsetto vocals of Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies' playing on the electric piano.

Supertramp releases the definitive vinyl pressings of their studio albums.

The audio of "Breakfast In America" was transferred at Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell and supervised by the album's co-producer, Peter Henderson, where they cut the 1 / 2 speed master used for the vinyl pressing. The LP is pressed on 180g heavyweight black vinyl.

It is the group's sixth studio album, released in 1979.
