Ella Fitzgerald – Ella Wishes You A Swinging Christmas

A swinging Christmas and a jazzy New Year - that's what this cheerful Ella LP from 1960 will give you. She sings (and swings) Jingle Bells, Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland and more! Ella puts her unique stamp on everything from a sultry vamp like "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" to the sweet and cozy "The Christmas Song". Even potentially worn-out standards like "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" sound fresher when they come from Ella Fitzgerald.

With her extraordinary voice, Ella Fitzgerald became a legend in her own lifetime. She is considered one of the best singers of all time. Ella actually wanted to be a dancer. However, she was too nervous to dance at a dance competition and sang instead. She won first prize. The rest is history.
