The Spanish singer Montserrat Caballé, one of the great sopranos, also called "La Superba", was known for her floating, shimmering pianissimi. In addition to the parade parts of the Belcanto with works by Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini and early Verdi, she also sang Puccini and the French part, as well as songs from Andalusia and other Spanish regions, with a particularly striking lightness. All these can be experienced, very representative, on the double album "Diva Eterna".
