Von Hertzen Brothers enter 2026 with a landmark year ahead, marking 25 years since their debut album, ‘Experience’ was released. To celebrate the milestone, the band will roll out a full year of activity spanning live performances, long-requested archival releases and the first steps toward their next studio album.

In Finland, the anniversary celebrations include a special acoustic performance at the Finnish National Theatre on 10 April, a show that sold out immediately. Additional high-profile anniversary shows in Finland will be announced soon. 

Internationally, the band return to UK stages with appearances at Call of the Wild Festival, where they headline the Sunday night on 31 May, and Steelhouse Festival on 25 July, with further touring news expected as the year unfolds.

A central part of the anniversary programme is a series of limited-edition physical reissues from the Von Hertzen Brothers catalogue. Many of these titles have been unavailable for years and are among the band’s most frequently requested releases.

The second re-release is a ‘gold edition’ of the band’s first Number 1 album ‘Love Remains The Same’. The album was recently recognised by the USA’s Loudwire as one of the 25 best prog rock albums of the 2000’s. Finding the original recording sessions on an old hard drive gave the band the opportunity to give the whole album a new remix. Jussi Jaakonaho took on the task and was able to bring more punch and drive into the sound, resulting in a wider more up to date version than the original. The remixed album has been mastered by Henkka Niemistö.
Love Remains The Same will be issued as a limited ‘gold edition’ double LP with gold-foiled gatefold packaging and gold vinyl. The vinyl release includes three additional live tracks recorded at Tavastia in 2008: ‘Bring Out The Sun (So Alive)’, ‘Freedom Fighter’ and ‘Somewhere in the Middle’.

The release will be a must-have collector’s item for original fans, an opportunity for fans who have discovered the band in the last two decades to get their hands on the long out of print physical title, and a chance for audiophiles and prog-obsessives to hear the album with a greatly improved sound quality.
