Screech! The Lemonheads return with their first studio album of all-original material in almost 20 years. After years of writing, moving around and starting over, as well as the release of the single "Fear Of Living", Evan Dando returns with 11 original Lemonheads songs.

A long time in the making, shaped by changing geographies and featuring a number of welcome guests, it's a bold, melodic affirmation of one of alternative rock's most distinctive voices.
Dando's residency in Brazil, where much of the album was recorded, has allowed him a quiet change of perspective in recent years - a chance to refocus, reconnect and finally bring his songs into focus. The result is an album that sounds both fresh and familiar: rooted in the hallmarks of the Lemonheads' best work, but enhanced by years of life experience and a new environment.

"Love Chant" was produced by Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Apollo Nove and brings together old friends and new partners: J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), Juliana Hatfield and Tom Morgan are back on board, along with producer Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Antony and the Johnsons), Nashville's Erin Rae, John Strohm of the Blake Babies and Nick Saloman of The Bevis Frond. And Adam Green from the New York cult band The Moldy Peaches is involved as co-author on the laid-back country detour "Wild Thing".

In recent years, the influence of The Lemonheads has become even clearer, with acts such as MJ Lenderman, Courtney Barnett and Waxahatchee covering Dando's songs and praising the emotional clarity, melodic instinct and ironic intimacy that characterize his lyrics. This cross-generational resonance makes "Love Chant" more than a return - it's a reminder of what this band was all about in the first place, now enhanced by a late peak.
