Dire Straits – Making Movies (Half Speed Mastering) (Limited Edition) (Alternative Artwork)

Recorded in 1980 at Power Station Studios in New York, this is Dire Straits' third album. With "Tunnel of Love" and "Romeo and Juliet", it contains two of the band's most popular songs. Overall, "Making Movies" was awarded 6x gold and 7x platinum internationally.

A half-speed black 1LP vinyl version of "Making Movies", the third studio album by British rock band Dire Straits, which will be reissued in the UK on National Album Day to celebrate the 2024 "Great British Groups" theme. In addition to the USA, it will also be available in the rest of the world. The album includes the single "Romeo and Juliet", which reached number 8 in the UK singles charts, and "Tunnel of Love", which was featured in the 1982 Richard Gere film "An Officer and a Gentleman".

This limited edition includes a new reworking of the album cover, with the red and blue colors of the original reversed. The half-speed master vinyl format was cut using a special technique, an artisanal process overseen by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London. The result is cuts that have outstanding high frequency reproduction and very well sold and stable stereo images.
