Nourished By Time– The Passionate Ones

The album "The Passionate Ones" by singer-songwriter and producer Nourished By Time from Baltimore will be released in 2025 on XL Recordings. "The Passionate Ones", which was created between Baltimore, London and New York City, also describes the broken side of the American Dream on 12 tracks. 

Nourished By Time was created in Los Angeles at the end of 2019 as a kind of escape from everyday life. Marcus Brown was in danger of breaking down from the monotony of his day job and was looking for a way out. Brown's unique sound world is characterized by the musical heritage of his hometown Baltimore, where jazz, punk, indie, hip-hop, electronic and R&B meet in raw harmony. On "The Passionate Ones", Brown explores love, labor, existentialism, dreams, disillusionment and hope through the lens of metamodernism, documenting the American story of an artist following his passions and dreams. 

"The Passionate Ones" follows his acclaimed debut. "Erotic Probiotic 2 (Scenic Route)" was released in 2023 and was named one of the best albums of the year by US platforms such as Pitchfork, topped Gorilla vs Bear's year-end list and was praised by The Guardian, The Fader, Paste and others. The EP "Catching Chickens" (XL) from 2024 also introduced Nourished By Time to Europe as an artist: CRACK Magazine put him on its cover and named "Hell of a Ride" track of the year. The song appeared on the lists of NPR, Resident Advisor, CLASH, The FACE, Mixmag, UPROXX and Spotify for the best songs of 2024.
