After the Beatles had played their last tour and it proved impossible to travel around the world to promote new releases, the band increasingly used the medium of so-called "mini feature films". These pioneering promotional films and videos have had a significant impact on the way we perceive music visually today.

The film work presented here now accompanies the 27 No. 1 UK and US singles. This newly restored and expanded The Beatles "1" will be released in various configurations worldwide on November 6th by Apple Corps Ltd / UMG.

Each CD, DVD or Blu-ray contains 27 tracks and each song is accompanied by a fully restored video. All songs appear in the new stereo as well as 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS-HD surround mix. The set with CD and two DVDs or two Blu-rays contains a total of 50 promotional films and videos with a total length of over 200 minutes (including book). On a further disk there are 23 videos with alternative versions as well as rarely shown film and video material. The single, 27-track audio CD also contains the new stereo mixes.
