Duffy is one of the UK's most promising young musicians. She is now releasing her debut album "Rockferry".
Harking back to the music of her childhood and thoroughly modern at the same time, her romantic songs are infused with soul, nostalgia and a scratchy blues feeling that meets the rugged sounds of modern life.
Backed by a six-piece band - Ben. E., Mr. T, Sgt. Meadows, Greeno, Ayo & Karlos - Duffy's sound can be described as both nostalgic and timeless. "I write all the songs without instruments at first, as a capella, and then I build everything else around it later. That's also how we create that classic retro sound."
