Hailing from Kentucky, Black Stone Cherry are known for combining timeless rock 'n' roll with new, innovative sounds. While their last album, " Folklore and Superstition " was a tribute to the friendship and history of their families, the new album summarizes a year in the life of the band - every emotion, every triumph, every loss, every romance - finds a place on the new disc.

" Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea " is the first album that Black Stone Cherry have not recorded in the South. The band moved to Los Angeles and worked with the famous producer Howard Benson (Theory of a Deadman, Daughtry, Three Days Grace). In the new environment, the four guys grew even closer as band members as well as friends, a detail that makes " Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea " their most important album to date.

The raw intensity that can be felt on this album is reminiscent of Black Stone Cherry's early creative phase, when they were nothing more than a bunch of working class guys making music together just for fun.
