The popular compilation "The Very Best Of Talk Talk" is being reissued in a revised and career-spanning version. Compared to the original release from 1997, the new edition offers the band's greatest hits in chronological order. It also includes a revised recording of the band's last album, "Laughing Stock".

Formed in 1981 by Mark Hollis, Lee Harris and Paul Webb, Talk Talk achieved worldwide fame with their first two albums "The Party's Over" and "It's My Life". Songs such as "Talk Talk", "Today", "It's My Life" and "Such a Shame" became timeless classics and reached the Top 40 of the British charts. With "The Colour of Spring" (1986), the band took their first steps in the direction of experimental sounds, which ultimately culminated in their celebrated masterpiece "Spirit of Eden". Their last studio album, "Laughing Stock", was released in 1991 and marked a further turning point towards post-rock.

Talk Talk is often regarded as a pioneer of post-rock. Their influence extends to artists such as Kate Bush, Tears for Fears and Radiohead. In addition, many musicians have reinterpreted the band's work, including No Doubt, who scored an international hit with their version of "It's My Life".
