“Riggs” is the self-titled debut — and as it turned out, their only — album, released in 1982 by the American rock band Riggs. Formed in 1979 by guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter Steve Riggs, the band had a sound that blended hard rock with glam, metal, and pop rock influences, which was characteristic of many bands from the early '80s rock scene. The album featured a mix of hard rock anthems and more melodic, radio-friendly tracks. While it wasn't a major commercial breakthrough, Riggs earned some attention on the underground rock scene due to its infectious hooks and the band’s energetic performance, eventually gaining a cult following in the years following the release of this debut album.
