"All Together Now" is the title of an absolutely brilliant DVD documentary about the musically and visually fascinating "LOVE" project, in which the best of the two artistic worlds of the BEATLES and the CIRQUE DU SOLEIL have been combined in an almost congenial way. The 84-minute film traces the path from the initial implementation of the idea, which was born out of George Harrison's friendship with Guy Laliberte, the founder of the legendary Canadian entertainment ensemble, to the gala premiere at the famous "Mirage" hotel in Las Vegas on June 30, 2006, where the virtually sold-out, always colorful show has been captivating audiences and spectators ever since. Incidentally, this premiere was also the biggest "family reunion" of the BEATLES since the end of the band in 1970 - Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Lennon's first wife Cynthia and his first son Julian, Dhani, who is the spitting image of George, with mother Olivia Harrison as well as George and Giles Martin were present.

The documentary provides deep insights into the respective creation and decision-making processes of "LOVE", such as how the music, the recordings and the songs were selected, how the original compositions were edited and ultimately changed structurally, sometimes significantly, in order not to simply play one song after the other, but to create something new and unique. This caused quite a stir in the fan world and the media: Is it allowed to tamper with the BEATLES' music in this way? Yes, you can, you even have to, if you do it the way the duo Giles Martin and his father, the legendary producer George Martin, did it.

It is always fascinating how soundtracks from different songs grow together to form a unity. You have been able to hear this since November 2006, when the "LOVE" CD was released. Now you can also see how it came about. Ultimately, the BEATLES themselves, or rather McCartney and Starr, but also Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison, were directly involved, also in the evaluation of the visual realization by the CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, of figures and scenes, movements, colors and dramaturgy. Interviews with all those involved, film snippets from the BEATLES past, 5.1 sound, 16: 9 picture, subtitles in the usual languages (including German!) and finally 3 additional features ("Changing The Music", "Music In The Theatre", "Making LOVE") of over 40 minutes in length as well as a "LOVE" trailer make this DVD a must for all BEATLES fans and music enthusiasts.
