Under the influence of blues and rock, Texan Stevie Ray Vaughan developed into a guitarist in the 1970s who created his very own style with meticulousness and a striving for perfection. People spoke of the "new Hendrix" and praised how "raw, unpolished and completely unimpressed by modern rock music" he intoned blues rock. His debut album "Texas Flood" from 1983 marked his breakthrough as a soloist.
