On their long-awaited eighth album "The Sin and The Sentence", Trivium once again present the growth of their sound. Now the American metallers' new battleship has been released.

And it's not just growth that's the key word - all the elements that have defined Trivium since their formation in 1999 come to fruition on this work: moments of awe-inspiring melodiousness merge into taut technical thrash, black metal expansions, punk spirit and a heart of heavy, all tightly laced by the musical unity of the quartet - Matt Heafy [vocals, guitar], Corey Beaulieu [guitar], Paolo Gregoletto [bass] and Alex Bent [drums].

With all this in mind, it should come as no surprise that the eleven songs were driven by an insatiable hunger: to evolve. "It was an all-or-nothing moment," Heafy emphasizes. "We all agreed: 'We have to record the best album of our career right now'."

To date, almost all of their albums have charted in Germany: their 2011 album "In Waves" and 2013 album "Vengeance Falls" reached the Top 10, their 2006 album "The Crusade" reached #23, their 2008 album "Shogun" reached #27 and Trivium's last album "Silence In The Snow" even reached #1. "In Waves" reached #1 on Billboard's American "Hard Rock Albums".
