Mike Bell & The Belltones come from Helsinki, Finland and they play 50’s style rockabilly & rock’n’roll. The band was formed in 2008 and have since become one of the leading bands of the European rockabilly scene. They have done dozens of live shows in the biggest rock’n’roll clubs and festivals all over the world: Europe, USA, Russia, Japan.

Mike Bell & The Belltones have previously released two albums: ‘Scream & Holler’ (2010) and ‘Payback’ (2012), which was picked by the leading newspaper in Finland, Helsingin Sanomat, as one of the best records of the year. They have also toured and recorded with an American rockabilly legend, Huelyn Duvall. The albums have been released by Goofin’ Records.

’The Beat that Can’t Be Beat’ is the 3rd album from Mike bell & The Belltones. The recordings were done in two different locations: Ecco-Fonic studio in Los Angeles and Lightning Recorders studio in Berlin. All the sessions were recorded live using vintage analogue equipment.

The bare bone of Mike Bell & The Belltones’ music is in the early rock’n’roll, rockabilly, pop and country music. It reminds of the sounds from Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Johnny Burnette and Ricky Nelson. The original and catchy tunes are written by the singer Mike Bell. If you listen to the record you will notice that the songs are filled with raw energy, great melodies, swinging rhythm and that hard driving BEAT, BEAT, BEAT!
