“This is the Small Faces as they should be heard.” KENNEY JONES
'Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake', recorded in late 1967 & early 1968 is by far and away the Small Faces’ best-known and most successful album.
Alongside hit singles ‘Lazy Sunday’ & ‘Afterglow’ & classic tracks ‘Rollin’ Over’ & ‘Song Of A Baker’, the album added a conceptual twist with the story of ‘Happiness Stan’ & the narrations of Stanley Unwin.
A chart-topping success in the UK for 6 weeks, the no.1 album represents the band’s finest hour, though soon after release, the Small Faces were no more, having morphed into the Faces and Humble Pie.
The new limited edition coloured vinyl has been cut at half-speed by Barry Grint at Air Studios to match 2018’s box-set edition (now sold out) and gives a better dynamic response, more defined & accurate sound with extended low frequency & smooth high frequency response.
The 2-CD edition features the mono mix of the original LP plus a second disc of rarities & alternate versions, initially released in 2012.
