"Plus 4" was originally released on Prestige in 1956 and features Sonny Rollins together with the Cliff Brown / Max Roach Quintet. The album is described as a particularly strong hard bop set and contains five tracks, including two Rollins originals, "Pent-Up House" and one of his best-known pieces, "Valse Hot".
This reissue of the album is released as part of the OJC series on 180-gram vinyl, pressed at RTI, with fully analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton tip-on cover.
