The Legacy.
Elvis Presley is one of the most important representatives of 20th century rock and pop culture. With over one billion records sold, he is considered the most successful solo artist of all time. By 1978, Elvis had been nominated 14 times for the Grammy, which he won three times for his gospel interpretations. At the age of 36, he became the youngest artist ever to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. He reached first place in the American Billboard charts with 15 albums and 16 EPs. He is the only musician in US chart history with number one hits in Billboard's Pop, Country, Rhythm & Blues and Adult Contemporary charts and still tops Billboard's list of the 500 most successful artists since 1955. Many Elvis hits are songs for eternity. Some of them were already huge successes in earlier versions by other musicians. On the other hand, Elvis' work has inspired many other artists to reinterpret his songs again and again. SONGBOOK WITH FRIENDS is a collection of Elvis Presley's most beautiful songs, some of them interpreted in extraordinary versions by other artists.
