Dave Edmunds, The Dave Edmunds Band – Five Originals

Dave Edmunds officially retired from professional life in July 2017 after 50 years in the music industry.

From his pioneering days in the sixties with Love Sculpture to his one-man attempt to bring rock music back to its original roots with his Christmas hit "I Hear You Knocking", which was number one in the UK singles chart in 1970, he then became a one-man Phil Spector "Wall Of Sound" via mid-Seventies hits such as "Baby I Love You" and "Born To Be With You", moving on to his pub-rock "supergroup" Rockpile and his subsequent solo career (most of which appears in this collection).
