The idea of a cover EP by Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus had been brewing within the band for several years, and this year the band finally found the right moment for it. This time, drummer Aksu Hanttu and guitarist Jarkko Petosalmi took the lead of the project, while the rest of the band was involved in both song selections and arrangements. "Ruovesi -47" is the Finnish version of the Swedish band Hypocrisy's death metal classic "Roswell 47". Jenni Vartiainen's brilliant "Suru on kunniavieras" is adapted to the Niskalaukaus mold. Ajattara's "Antakaa elää" has been adapted with the same dark touch, respecting the original. Mikko Saarela's "Kärpästen juhlat" and Saara Suvanto's "Kissat ja koirat ja linnutkin" represent the Cold War era of the 80s. During those years of “finlandization”, the accusing finger pointed to the West in accordance with the spirit of the time, but now it has turned towards the East in a timely manner.
