Letter To You on Bruce Springsteenin kahdeskymmenes studioalbumi ja ensimmäinen albumi E Street Bandin kanssa sitten vuoden 2012 julkaistun High Hopes -levyn.

“I love the emotional nature of Letter To You. And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.”, Springsteen kertoo.

Letter to You sisältää yhdeksän Springsteenin kirjoittamaa uutta kappaletta sekä kolme alun perin 1970 luvulla sävellettyä, mutta aikaisemmin julkaisematonta kappaletta Janey Needs a Shooter, If I Was the Priest, sekä Song for Orphans.

Letter To You albumilla Springsteenin kanssa soittaa legendaarinen the E Street Band eli Roy Bittan (piano), Nils Lofgren (kitara), Patti Scialfa (taustalaulu), Garry Tallent (basso), Stevie Van Zandt (kitara), Max Weinberg (rummut), Charlie Giordano (koskettimet) sekä Jake Clemons (saksofoni). Albumin tuottajana toimi Ron Aniello yhdessä Bruce Springsteenin kanssa, miksauksesta vastaa Bob Clearmountain ja masteroinnista Bob Ludwig.
