1979 was the Motörhead year - the year of "overkill". Motörhead, the loudest band in the world, destroyed the nation with the power and force of a hundred pneumatic drills, over and over again, and no one remained untouched by them. 

The album "Overkill" was stronger than their first album "Motörhead", which was a killer in itself. The production was in the capable hands of a certain Jimmy Miller, who had already enjoyed success with bands like the Rolling Stones. He got the best out of the guys, "Overkill" is full of real bangers and contains the hit singles "Overkill" and "No Class". This is Motörhead: straightforward, basic, down-to-earth rock'n'roll that knows absolutely no boundaries
