Produced by Bob Rock, Load is the follow-up to Metallica, the best-selling album of the Soundscan era. Load contains fan favorites including “Until It
Sleeps,” “Hero of the Day,” and “King Nothing,” and for the first time ever, the original extended version of “The Outlaw Torn” that was originally edited due to manufacturing limits.

Remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering, overseen by executive producer Greg Fidelman, and vinyl lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

The limited deluxe box set of "Load" (Remastered) contains 301 tracks (245 of which are unreleased) and weighs over ten pounds. It contains the remastered album on 180-gram double LP and CD, a "Mama Said" picture disc, three live LPs, 15 CDs and four DVDs with unreleased content (live shows, rough mixes, demos, etc.), an MP3 download card with a CD and a CD.), an MP3 download card with all audio files, two tour laminates, a Lollapalooza poster, a Pushead patch, a Rolling Stone print, guitar/bass picks, a pack of 14 Rorschach test cards, a lyric folder and sheets, and a 128-page hardcover book with never-before-seen photos and stories from those who were there.
