With "Nobody Loves You More", Kim Deal is releasing her first solo album on 4AD. The eleven-song collection is the Dayton, Ohio-based artist's first album under her own name.

"Nobody Loves You More" is Kim Deal's debut album, though it's not the first time she's gone it alone - in 2013, she self-published a five-song series of ten songs that were released as a limited edition 7". In keeping with Deal's meticulous approach to her art, the album has been refined over several years. The oldest songs, 'Are You Mine?' and 'Wish I Was', were written and recorded in 2011, shortly after Deal returned from the Pixies' 'Lost Cities Tour' and relocated to Los Angeles (early versions of these songs were included in the aforementioned vinyl series).

The final recording sessions for 'Nobody Loves You More' took place in November 2022 with legendary engineer and close friend Steve Albini, who recorded the final track 'A Good Time Pushed' at his Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago. Along the way, she enlisted a host of collaborators past and present, from the Breeders (Mando Lopez, twin sister Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson, Britt Walford) to Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs) and Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan of the Savages. 'Nobody Loves You More' was mixed by Marta Salogni and mastered by Heba Kadry.

Each song is accompanied by a personal story. They deal with winter vacations with her parents in the Florida Keys ('Summerland'), a wedding band cover of 'Margaritaville' ('Coast') or her mother's dementia ('Are You Mine?'). The record celebrates Deal's unparalleled artistry, referencing not only the high points of her career with acclaimed bands of the alternative landscape (Pixies, The Amps, The Breeders), but also her unwavering cultural weight that has influenced musicians such as Kurt Cobain and Olivia Rodrigo for generations.
