On July 23, 1968, Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention headlined an unforgettable all-night performance at Whisky a Go Go. The entire show was captured on tape by Zappa with the intention of potentially crafting an album. Over the years, select excerpts have surfaced, yet a comprehensive live album remained unrealized, leaving the original recordings in the Vault for over five decades.

On this 2LP release, select highlights from the recordings have now been compiled, accompanied by liner notes from Joe Travers.
