For decades, Sting has been one of the most influential artists on the international music scene. As a 17-time Grammy award winner, celebrated solo artist and former voice of The Police, he now delights with "The Night Watch (Live at the Rijksmuseum)".
Created as part of the ARTE series Sounds Like Art, the recording shows a performance in Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum surrounded by works of art by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Judith Leyster. For this special occasion, Sting plays a rare 17th century guitar originally made for the court of Louis XIV, the Sun King. Together with his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and managed by Martin Kierszenbaum and the Cherrytree Music Company, Sting presents songs from his Tony-nominated musical "The Last Ship" as well as selected classics from his solo repertoire and from The Police.
